Visit us during the spring for our family-favorite blackberry-pick! Pick your own blackberries, fresh from our farm to your home. We planted our blackberries in 2024 and our first blackberry crop was available for U-pick in spring of 2025! In addition to blackberry picking, we host events for all ages throughout the spring. Be sure to come hungry – we have hot, fresh donuts and a wide range of sweet treats, homemade blueberry lemonade and lunch options at our Southern Hill Farms food trucks. Our Blackberry U-Pick
We grow one variety of juicy blackberries on 2 acres of the farm. The Freedom variety produces a berry that is large and extra sweet! We’ll provide you with containers that you can pick directly into and take home. Since blackberry picking conditions can vary based on weather and crop availability, please always check the homepage of our website on the day of your planned visit to ensure the farm is open for picking.
Our blackberry u-pick price is $8/lb. and you are responsible for paying for everything that you pick. Please only pick the dark purple or black blueberries, all other shades (including red, green, or a combo of them) need more time to fully ripen on the bush before they are harvested. Please only pick the berries you are going to keep, in order for all berries to have a chance to ripen.
Each container will hold approximately 2 pounds, and the checkout is located in front of the Vegetable/Blackberry field.
